LG reveals its plans for new K-series lineup

With the current speed of growth in the mid-range market, it's no wonder companies are trying their hardest to appeal to everyone. One of those companies is LG, with their new K-series of devices.

Much like Samsung, LG is unifying all of its mid-range devices under one brand, though this isn't the first time the company has done this. The new LG K series is actually the successor to LG's popular L-series which spawned two generations.

This new series though, is created with the camera as the main focus. At CES, the company revealed the first two devices, the LG K7 and K10, but now, thanks to a post by the company, we know that they are going to launch a total of five devices, all of which will be marketed under the slogan "Find Your Own Style". The current devices being released are the LG K4, K5, K7, K8 and K10.

It's likely that not every device in the series will be available in one particular market, but there is still a variety to choose from, and LG will surely try its best to cater for every consumer. The new series is also probably LG's best chance at speeding up its growth again, which has been slowing since the cancellation of the L series and announcement of the LG G4. Because of this, LG's new series targets a younger audience, hence the focus on the camera sensor and features that try to enhance the quality of selfies.

Here is the social media post that revealed the lineup:

"As part of LG’s new affordable mid-range smartphone series, the K10 and K7 stand out both in design and camera features. The glossy pebble design complemented with intricate woven back patterns provide a better grip and unique features including the ‘gesture interval shot’ and ‘tap and shot’ will bring a hassle-free selfie experience to those in use."
