Google's new Android feature could save a lot of time installing apps

Android users can often admit that it is painful when they have to search for an app through the search bar and then have to open the Google Play Store app to search for it again to install it. Well, according to Android Police, those days are over as Google is testing a way that allows users to install apps directly from either the search bar or the search results without being routed to the Play Store.

Upon selecting the application from the search results, the new feature will show a pop-up window with the permissions and the install button. According to some users, however, it only works using the search bar/Google application, and not for Google Chrome browser.

It is unknown if this nifty feature will become more usable throughout Chrome and/or other web browser platforms, but Google has not responded to comment about this feature according to The Verge. We'll be sure to let you know when the time comes.
