Minecraft: Education Edition Announced

Microsoft have announced Minecraft: Education Edition, especially for schools, today. It will aim to help children use maps to locate certain places and objects, and explore real cities, that have been previously built. The changes in this new Minecraft, are not greatly different to the current Minecraft, with the main differences being Minecraft's new mapping feature, to allow pupils an easier time reading the map, letting teachers use a feature to apply resources, and finally adding a feature that allows kids to screenshot and map where they've been, and what they've seen. The reason Microsoft are slowly introducing new features to this game, is simply that they do not want to turn Minecraft in to a fully pledged educational system. Microsoft will be launching a new website wherein users of Minecraft: Education Edition will be able to submit and upload their own worlds, ready for pupils to explore ready built structures. Teachers will be able to share these worlds with pupils, who can immediately dive into the spectacular scenery. Teachers can also build and share their own worlds, to go over in-class studies. This 'Education Edition' of one of the worlds most recognised games, will be accessible to students at home, as well as school, so long as they use the same username and password registered to their in-school Minecraft account. Minecraft: Education Edition will be released in summer of this year, with updates randomly releasing to inhance gamers in-game experience constantly!
