Google chrome is one of the most used browsers ever. More than 30% of laptops and desktops use google chrome. Although chrome is very popular and is one of the best browsers, it can be slow. It also chews up RAM. With Googles newest update, this problem should be solved.
Google claims that their results show that the newest update will cut the memory by about 10%. The newest update obviously frees up memory but is it actually 10%? You are about to find out.

Chrome 45 includes a number of new updates that will make it run faster. For example, Chrome will now recognise when your computer is running low on memory. It will then ask you to restore tabs instead of automatically doing that. This is useful but the biggest change is next.
Chrome will recognise when you are using a tab or not. This will save RAM as the unused tabs are left and Chrome will start freeing up memory automatically.
Chrome 45 is definitely worth the free download. It saves RAM and this is very useful for the people with a slower laptop or desktop. After playing around with the new and the older versions, I can conclude that the new chrome saves memory, but if it is actually 10% I am not entirely sure.
