Google I/O 2016 dates announced
Google's CEO Sunder Pichai on Twitter recently announced the dates for this years I/O developer conference. It is set to begin on May 18th and run through the 20th. This year, things will be different however as they are bringing it back to their own Shoreline Amphitheater. In a recent tweet on Twitter, he said that they're bringing the conference back "to neighborhood where it all started 10 yrs ago."
More details such as ticket prices/availability and more will come at a later date. In case you forgot, Google's I/O conference is the place where major Android updates happen, such as Android M in 2015, which turned into Android Marshmallow later that year. There have been rumors of Google to add side-by-side multitasking to tablet devices, which would greatly improve the productivity side of things, as Google's competitors are offering the same thing. There is also another rumor that we'll see Google come close to merging Chrome OS and Android together, although they've denied that rumor. We will all see what happens in just a couple of months, so stay tuned to TechDependent for more information when I/O comes around.
