Kickstarter has finally released their app to the Play Store

Apple users have been able to use the Kickstarter app for some time now (3 years to be precise) but now, after all this time on the App Store, the company has finally introduced Android users to it. For lovers of the service, this is obviously good news.

The overall design of the app has been programmed to look very natural on Android, yet still be unique. There are also hints of Material design thrown in, which helps the app follow Google's design guidelines.

Moving on from the design though, the biggest and most important part of the app is the activity feed, where you can discover new projects and keep up to date with other projects that you may have funded. The feed will also provide you with any projects that your friends have funded and will also show you a number of Kickstarter projects based on your interests and previously backed projects. Finding new and similar projects though, is the apps main focus.

Overall, the app is very easy to use and makes the whole process of KickStarter much faster and simpler than if you were to use it on a browser. If you are a big fan of the Kickstarter service, or simply looking for a new project to help fund, you should definitely think about downloading it, after all, it's at least worth a try.
