Last Friday, 9To5Mac.com’s Mark Gurman stated that a potential 4” Apple iPhone named the ‘iPhone 5se’ could be launched at Apple’s upcoming March event. During the weekend, there was a very sensational image floating around the Internet – it claims to show the face of a possibly new 4-inch Apple iPhone. It indicates an Apple iPhone 5 placed next to the ‘leaked’ device.
The image was first posted online via the One More Thing website forum – a site that has been pretty much known for leaks on new technology. About two years ago, the same website leaked the iPad Air 2 display as well as the iPad Air’s design.
If this latest leak is actually the real device that Apple will be dropping in 2016, we could be experiencing a compact 4-inch iPhone with rounded volume toggles, and various other features from the iPhone 6, iPhone 5, and iPhone 4 mixed into one package – the ‘iPhone 5se’.
Mark Gurman’s report last Friday also indicated that the new device will be called the iPhone 5se, and that it will “blend the old design with modern technologies” – meaning that this release by Apple could consist of a revamp of previous iPhones.
An 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.2 megapixel front camera picked out from the iPhone 6 could also be thrown into the 5se, as well as an NFC chip to utilise Apple Pay, a collection of new factory installed apps, Apple’s A8 and M8 processors, don’t forget that the smartphone will be available in the colour range that the iPhone 6S line is available in.
What we probably won’t be seeing is the 3D Touch pressure senses on the display of the phone, and due to the smaller screen size than the latest iPhones, the screen quality might not be the best.
The latest Apple iPhone 5se is expected to launch later this year. What do you think of this new device? Let’s get to know your opinion by dropping a comment below, or catch us on one of our social media pages.
