Apple's "Titan" car project is now leaderless

We've known for years now that Apple has been planning or is rumored to be working on their own electric car, codenamed Titan. However, that could soon come to an end as the leader of the project has left the company due to personal reasons, according to the Wall Street Journal. Steve Zadensky, was the leader of the not-so-secret car project, after working on the iPhone and iPod for 16 years. Interestingly, before he worked at Apple, he worked at Ford.

In case you've forgotten, Apple has been hiring quite a few of automotive engineers and experts from Tesla, Mercedes Bens, and others. The Wall Street Journal also notes that the project has a ship date of 2019. However, that could be an internal deadline, and not when the vehicle is actually released to the public. There is one thing for sure, losing a leader of an automotive group will take a huge blow to the company as it is hard to start from scratch all over again, and it will only get tougher from here on out.
