The iPad Air 3 could have the iPad Pro's best feature
When Apple announced the iPad Pro late last year, they interestingly didn't decide to update one of their best-selling tablets, the iPad Air 2. Now, a newly leaked schematic from NoWhereElse claims that the tablet will be refreshed sometime later this spring with an updated design that takes some cues from Apple's Pro tablet, plus one more feature.
If the leaked schematics pictured above is correct, then the iPad Air 3 will have the iPad Pro's four speakers that are located on each corner of the tablet that will create a surround-sound experience. The speaker system was well-received on the iPad Pro, so it makes sense that Apple would bring it to their smaller device, as well.
The schematic also shows that the tablet will include a rear-facing flash, which has not been seen the light of day on Apple's tablets before. Interestingly, people still take pictures with their tablets, so this may sound like a good deal if someone is looking to add some better light to their pictures they take with the tablet.
Like with most leaked patents and leaks/schematics when it comes to rumored Apple devices, we should take these pictures with a grain of salt, and NWE is saying exactly just that. Editor-in-Chief Steve Hemmerstoffer says that he can't confirm the legitimacy of the leaked schematics pictured above. He did add that the same source has been correct twice before, but one rumor was wrong.
Apple is planning on releasing the iPad Air 3 sometime in March, so we will confirm if this is all true soon enough. All we can do now is just speculate.
