Nexus 5X Review

The Nexus 5x was released on 29th October 2015 and is one of Google's latest flagship smartphones. It is made by LG and they have done an amazing job with this phone, I have been lucky enough to get my hands on one and its 5.2" display is one of the best I have seen on a smartphone.

It packs a SnapDragon 808 CPU which is clocked at 1.8ghz and an Adreno 418 GPU. It comes in both 16 and 32GB models which both include 2GB of RAM. It has a 12.3MP camera. the camera does take quite a while to focus when recording videos but it records amazing videos at 4k (30fps).

LG claim that this phone will give you a whole day of battery life, but with moderate use, I have got 2 days. The phone comes with Qualcomm QuickCharge 2.0 which will give you up to 4 hours of battery life from just 10 minutes of charging. It charges using a USB Type-C to Type-C Cable which means that all the charging bricks you have at home will now work with the cable that comes in the box.

The fingerprint sensor is fast and reliable but is quite awkward to use if you use the phone with 2 hands.

This phone handles games very well and it hasn't crashed once. If you are considering this phone make sure you get the 32gb model as there is no Micro SD Card expansion available.

Android 6.0 comes pre-installed and with it being a nexus device it will receive timely security and UI improvements.

I have had this phone for 3 weeks and overall I would give it a 9/10. On the positive side, it has an amazing camera and a great battery but the camera does aperture a lot and the fingerprint sensor is awkward to use if you use the phone with 2 hands.
