While Google's Glass is more targeted towards the everyday user, and even their new upcoming edition of Glass is targeted more towards enterprise users, there hasn't been any Glass-like device for cyclists. Until now, as Garmin released their new Aaria Vision headset that is specifically made for cyclists.
The Aaria Vision uses some of Garmin's other products, such as their Edge line for performance monitoring, their Varia Review radar, which gives the cyclist an indication on the display if a car is behind them. It can also vibrate for certain notifications, such as a text message or a phone call.
We haven't seen this concept before though, Recon Instruments has their own version of the Aaria called the Jet, which is similar in concept. Garmin's offering promises twice of the Jet's battery life at 8 hours and costs $100 less. The Aaria Vision will ship to buyers by the end of March and it will cost $399.99.
