Lenovo's new LINK is so much more than just a flash drive

Lenovo has been hard at work at CES 2016 this year, releasing a wide range of products varying from laptops to computers. Well, they're back again with the LINK, which connects phones and computers plus additional storage all under one roof. Essentially, the LINK is your typical 32GB flash drive, but with an additional USB 3.0 connector on the back side. The additional port allows the user to insert their phone into the flash drive and it will turn the computer into a remote desktop.

To get the remote desktop support, the user would have to download the Lenovo LINK app on both the Android phone and the computer. When you first connect your phone, the user will have the default option of remotely viewing their phone on the computer, which can be controlled by the mouse and keyboard. Additional features for the remote connection include the option to respond to messages, use apps, and even copy and paste information from the computer to the phone or vice versa.

There is a second mode for the remote connection, which would keep all of the interaction between the phone and the computer in one central area. To get out of this mode, just simply swipe the mouse towards the edge of the screen.

The 32GB model will be available sometime around March for $40. Stay Tuned to TechDependent for more CES 2016 coverage. To see all of our coverage, search under the CES 2016 tags and/or category.
