Sony refreshes their Handycam camcorders and action cameras

Sony is taking a change of pace at CES this year. Instead of releasing new flagship cameras, they are updating their Handycam camcorder line. Their latest flagship camera, the Handycam FDR-AX53 now has 4K video support and a 20x optical zoom Zeiss lens with Sony's Balanced Optical SteadyShot, which is a five-axis image stabilization system. There is a multi-direction structure microphone for better audio quality alongside 120fps support for slow motion capabilities. The camcorder will be available in March for $999

Sony also refreshed their action camera, which is the HDR-AS504, which offers SteadyShot technology, an ultra wide-angle lens with 120fps support. There is Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, as well. The camera can also be submerged underwater at up to 60 meters in depth. There is also an option for manual settings. Sony's new Action Cam will be available in mid-February for $350.
