TCL's new 4K TV has Dolby Vision built in

There is no doubt in my mind that 4K HDR has been the thing at CES this year, and one of the leaders in that technology is Dolby with their Dolby Vision technology. In this case, it is being baked into TCL's new 4K TV.

The TV is called the X1, and it has the aforementioned 64-inch 4K display with Dolby Vision's technology built in. Not to mention that is is bright, weighing in at 1000 nits, and it is also curved. Additionally, the X1 also has built-in quality audio provided by Harmon Kardon. The X1 will launch in China in March, with a us launch sometime later in the second half of the year.

We recently covered at CES 2016 TCL's partnership with Roku, in which they are releasing their first 4K TV's with Roku's operating system built in. However, those TV's won't have the Dolby vision technology. Those TV's will arrive much sooner at around springtime. Stay tuned to TechDependent for more CES 2016 coverage.
