Huawei is bringing their Honor 5X to the US

Huawei recently stated that they would bring their Honor brand to the US, and as well as their new fitness tracker, they are also bringing their Honor 5X smartphone to the states.

The Honor 5X itself is a mid-range device that looks like it's older cousin, the Honor 7. As far as specifications go, the 5X is rocking a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device is running Android 5.1 Lollipop on top of Huawei's EMUI 3.1 skin. There is also a fingerprint scanner for added security. The display is measured at 5.5 inches and has a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Finally, there is a 3,000mAh battery.

The Honor 5X is also made out of a "diamond polished aluminum alloy casing" finish, as well as resembling the Honor 7's design. On the back, there is a 13-megapixel camera that has Huawei's SmartImage 3.0 processor. And on the front, we have a 5-megapixel sensor that has a 22mm wide-angle lens that has an 88-degree viewing angle and 2/2.4 aperture.

The Honor 5X will be available January 31st for $199.99 on Huawei's HiHonor.com website, as well as Amazon. Stay Tuned to TechDependent for more CES 2016 coverage. To see all of our coverage, use the CES 2016 category and/or tags.
