Philips's new speakers can be detatched


Philips at CES 2016 announced a the Fidelio E6 speakers, that can be detached for either a stereo setup or separately for 5.1 surround sound on demand. The top section of the speaker detaches from the base and can be placed somewhere else until it is needed again. There is also a wireless subwoofer that can handle low-end sound frequencies. the Fidelio E6 also offers spatial calibration technology for a more immersive and balanced sound experience. There is HDMI and Bluetooth connectivity on the speakers, as well as support for Spotify Connect and Google Cast. The Fidelio speakers are available for purchase right now if you'd like to try them out for yourself.

Philips also released a new soundbar, the Fidelio Compact Soundbar. It is a more compact version of their Soundbar that has 320W of total power that can play from an HDMI connection, or Bluetooth AptX. There is also a slim sub that will accompany the soundbar, as well. There is no word on price or availability just yet.

If you like higher audio quality, Philips has you covered with the Fidelio Soundbar with Dolby Atmos 5.1 surround sound support. The soundbar has 18 speakers and two modules that sends audio upwards, so you can hear what is above your head. If you add Philips' Ambisound technology into the mix, you'll achieve a "3D sound experience." The two speakers have a combined 400W of power and both HDMI and Bluetooth AptX connections. The subwoofer itself has a 220Q system and can project low-end tones a full 360 degrees to fill the room with sound.
