New pictures of a Google Glass prototype leaked

Earlier this month, we reported on a new patent that could have revealed what the next generation of Google Glass could look like. Now thanks to a recent leak, we now have pictures of what the redesigned Google Glass could look like. According to FCC filings published on Monday, the design of the Glass stays moderately the same, but this time, it offers a hinge so that it can be folded and placed in pockets for easy portability. It is important to mention that only one image provided in the FCC filings include the original nose bridge that was included on the first edition Glass, so it is too early to tell if we are looking at a finished "enterprise version" of Glass. Some specifications of the new version of glass include 5GHZ WiFi and a better built-in battery, a faster Intel processor and an improved camera. And according to The Wall Street Journal, the new version will be waterproof and more durable. Mum's the word on whether the device is real or not, according to Google. However, hundreds of unites have been reportedly distributed to partners in Google's Glass for Work program. The future of Google Glass is uncertain at the point, but hopefully something will be announced within the first couple of months in the new year.
