This Ford patent reveals an interesting concept

Usually, when you either run out of gas and you're stuck in the middle of no-where, you have to either push the car all the way, or walk to the nearest gas station. Well, that could be the thing of the past as Ford back in June, patented a design that would turn one of the rear-wheel tires into a electric unicycle. According to the patent, one of the situations is where you would park the car, and with the help of an automatic jack, you would remove the tire and get everything else needed from the trunk, such as the seat, handlebars, motor and other things.

The patent was filled in June and was published last week. And looks and is executed the same way as found in the Batpod scene from Batman: The Dark Night. To be expected, this is just a concept and won't be on any of Fords production models in the near future, but it could be featured in a concept car design sometime down the road.
