CES 2016 hasn't even started yet, and manufacturers are already going crazy on TV's. To recap what happened last year at the Consumer Electronics Show, almost if not all TV manufacturers went all-in on 4K compatibility. Now this year at CES 2016 LG has announced three new LCD 4K TVs that will come with "HDR-Plus" capability. HDR is short for High Dynamic Range, and it boots the TV's contrast ratio and color accuracy for a more richer and realistic look.

LG's HDR-Plus incorporates LG's own Color Prime Plus, which uses a special filter to replicate cinema-quality color as well as their Ultra Luminance technology for an improved contrast ratio. Both Samsung and Sony have updated some of their higher-end TV's with HDR compatibility, but there will be many more TV's throughout the week.

In detail, LG's three new 4K HDR-Plus models are the UH9500, UH8500 and the UH7700. They range in sizes from 49 to 86 inches and will come with LG's updated WebOS 3.0 software, which is debuting this week, as well. There is little to no difference between the three models, but LG is marketing the UH9500's slim design, which only has a gap of 6.6 millimeters between the display and the back cover chassis. LG hasn't disclosed pricing options at this time, but we should expect more information when LG has their CES press event on Tuesday, January 4th.
