Acer has become one of the most well-known ChromeOS suppliers, as they have made a whole variety of devices from 15-inch laptops, convertibles and all-in-ones. We recently reported on their new 24-inch Chromebase, and they're back for more with their new CB3-131 Chromebook, which is an addition to their Chromebook 11 line.
The CB3-131 has an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 resolution display, and an Intel Celeron processor and the option between 2GB or 4GB of RAM as well as either 16 or 32GB of storage. There is also 802.11ac WiFi, HDMI, USB 3.0 and an SD card reader. It also has a 9-hour battery life, according to Acer. The device weighs about 2.4 pounds and measures at about 18.6mm thick.

While the specifications of the device aren't that great, the design is another thing. It is built out of both plastic and aluminum that Acer claims can take a few beatings. To be exact, the device can take about 133 pounds of force on the cover and can survive two-feet drops with little to no damage at all. Stay tuned to TechDependent for more CES 2016 coverage.
