CES is the breeding ground for interesting ways to incorporate technology into a lot of different devices, and Samsung might have won with their new smart fridge that has a 21.5-inch built in 1080p screen.
The "Family Hub" smart refrigerator from Samsung has the aforementioned 21.5-inch 1080p display on the front of the fridge, which can display useful information such as web pages, food recipes and more. Also, it'll tell you when to buy certain foods, when the food is on sale, and even let you order them. It seems as though this feature is only available in Korea, however. Additionally, you can leave notes on the screen and there is a pair of door-mounted speakers that will let you listen to your own music or radio station.

Additionally, there are cameras inside the refrigerator that will see what food is slowly rotting in real-time. Additionally, you can remotely check the contents inside the refrigerator if you're at the store and need to check if you have the item or not. Samsung has also included the option to control connected smart objects from either their in-house SmartHub program, or other companies offerings through their SmartThings Hub. Samsung hasn't included a launch date or price, but it will probably launch in Korea before it makes it's way here to the states. Stay tuned to TechDependent for all of our CES 2016 coverage.
