Sphero's BB-8 has been a really popular gadget with the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie. This week, they will show off a new device. The wearable wristband will let you control BB-8 with gestures. The Force Band won't come out until late 2016, but they have an early prototype for CES 2016.

Here's how the current prototype works. When you rest your hand, the BB-8 is in driving mode. When your palm is facing down, the droid looks away from you and when you face your palm up, it looks towards you. When you spin, it spins with you and waving your hand enters gesture mode. There are many other gestures and actions you can use with the current prototype model, but I hope they come up with more for the final product.

The Force Band won't be released until Fall in 2016. There are no price details, but Sphero stressed this is still a prototype. Although it is a prototype, this gadget is a very interesting product from Sphero. Sphero said they will have more details at Toy Fair next month.
