Sony doesn’t have USB-C connectivity available in many of its devices; however they’re developing USB-C technology for the consumer. This week, the company has stated that they will be releasing a new series of flash-drives that will be ready for not only USB-C, but also USB-A connectivity.

What’s more is that they will be prepared in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB storage spaces. The main intention of the new devices is to connect the USB types to PCs that consist of Windows, Mac, and even Chrome OS. Let’s not forget that it is also fine to use on Android smartphones and tablets that support and have USB-C ports.

Sony says that “This new USB is guaranteed to cover your additional storage needs for your devices including your Android tablet or your OS PC,” and that “The USB market is developing and Sony has the storage solution dedicated to ensuring you are not losing your data between new devices.”

There are many people out there that regularly utilise USB-C and USB-A devices for connectivity, and Sony has made a smart move by catering to the demanding market of USB. Although there isn’t any news about the price tag, this new line-up of USB-C devices is probably the best option for users who want to stay up-to-date in the world of computing – you can even attach the flash-drive to your keychain to make sure it stays up-to-date with you. Sony is planning to drop the new flash-drives to a store near you in the late stages of this month.
