As if competition isn't hard enough for the mobile music streaming giants such as Spotify, Tidal and Apple Music, it only looks like it could get harder, as Amazon is reported to join the mix with their own music streaming service, which would be a lot bigger than their current Amazon Prime Music offering. According to a report via The New York Post, Amazon executives have started to talk about licensing agreements with the music industry that would offer a Spotify-like offering that could cost about $10.00 per month.

Amazon's Prime Music is offered with their Prime subscription, but the downside is they don't have anywhere near as much songs as all of the other music subscription companies do. In fact, Amazon's offering often misses new album releases, making users look elsewhere to stream that hot new mixtape that everyone's been talking about.

The service is still in the early stages of things, according to the Post, but it could include one unique feature. Using their Echo speaker device to lower the cost of the subscription price. Buy the speaker, and you'll pay between $3 to $4 per month. However, the price will vary depending on what Amazon can do to get a deal with the music industry. We'll let you know when or if this becomes a real thing, so stay tuned to TechDependent for more coverage.
