Apple to create true wireless charging for their devices

If the rumors are true, that Apple is going to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack for the lightning port, it will make things a lot harder for people who want to listen to music while charging their phone at the same time. Thankfully, Apple could have a potential fix for that problem as they are working on a way to charge their device without plugging it into the wall or placing it down on a charging mat, according to a new report via Bloomberg. The report claims that the wireless technology would work over unspecified long distances. The new charger could also be included in new Apple devices released next year, so it wouldn't come to the iPhone 7, but rather the 7S, if Apple is keeping with it's iterative update schedule.

As mentioned above, wireless charging needs the phone to be placed down on a charging mat, or a charger. If Apple can incorporate this technology into the mainstream, it would help them stand out, while making it easier for their users who want to listen to music while charging their phone. We'll be sure to let you know when or if this will happen, so stay tuned to TechDependent for more news like this.
