Google's announces a new safe browsing feature

Yesterday, Lucas Ballard said on the Google company blog in an article "Today, we're expanding Safe Browsing protection to protect you from such deceptive embedded content, like social engineering."

Also in the article, Lucas was expanding on what the company would be perceiving as "social engineering." He said that any ads that were either trying to act or look like a trusted entity,(like a notification from your own device). Or if an ad tried to trick you into doing things you would only do for a trusted entity (like give personal details,) then it would also be considered Social Engineering.

Whenever content that google considers Social Engineering is displayed on your screen, text will instantly appear on your screen reading a warning, like the one above, that will start with, 'Deceptive Content Ahead.'

Alongside targeting all deceptive ads Google will be focusing on putting an end to Social Engineering that asks you to update,install or download services in order to use the site or watch a video, For example:
