Canon announces the 1D X Mark 2
Canon has been known for not giving high-end photographers some of the best specifications on their flagship cameras. That all changes with the 1D X Mark 2, which is focused mainly towards features and functionality for the pro market sector.
As far as specs go, we have a 20.2-Megapixel sensor that is optimal for action and photojournalists. There is also a Digic 6+ image processor on board, which promises to be fast. In fact, it can shoot 14 frames a second with AF and AE on. Additionally, the AF system comes with 61 points, or 41 cross-type. There is also an ISO range of 100-51200, and can finally capture 4K video up to 60 frames per second with a CFast memory card.
As expected, Canon's camera won't come cheap, as it'll cost you $5,999 for the body only. The camera will be available sometime this April.
