Sony announces the successor to the a6000, the a6300

Sony's a6000 mirrorless camera has been one of the best on the market today, and now Sony is back with the successor the popular camera, the a6300, that has some useful, new features, including the title for the world's fastest auto-focus.

The first of which is the new 4D Focus system, which can focus a subject in just 0.05 seconds, which is helped by an impressive 425 phase detection autofocus points. The camera can also capture 11 frames per second. There is a brand new 24.4-megapixel APS-C sized Exmor CMOS sensor that has the BIONZ X image processing engine. It can also record 4K video internally.

Sony's digital imaging vice president Neal Manowitz said that "The α6300 is yet another example of the dominant innovation that Sony continues to bring to the industry, especially from the mirrorless space,"

The a6300 will be available in March for $1,000 for the body only, and $1,150 for a 16-50mm f3.5 - f5.6 kit lens.
