Apple Pay to launch in China later this week
Earlier this year, Apple promised to make Apple Pay available in China and according to major banks, the payment service will be available in China later this week.
Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) was the first bank to announce Apple Pay was launching on February 18. Though there are plenty of other supported bank options that should go live on the same day, Reuters said.
The launch of Apple Pay in China is quite fascinating as it's one of the countries in the world with the largest smartphone market. Reuters also said there are more people in China using their smartphones to pay for things than the whole population of the United States.
