Car giant Ford, is reportedly introducing its Sync 3 connected car system in Europe as well as the US.

The system consists of a voice-activated 8-inch infotainment which allows the driver to locate near establishments, e.g. a gas station. All you have to do is hit a button and then say “I need gas petrol.” And the system does the hard work. Ford have combined Apple Car Play and Android Auto into the infotainment system which transforms the experience in a whole new way, and enables you to connect the system with an iPhone or Android smartphone.

Ford has installed five new European languages; “New languages for SYNC 3 include Czech, Danish, Norwegian, Polish (including voice control) and Swedish (including voice control). They build on the European languages already available for SYNC: Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and U.K. English”. This is a smart move in order to cater to the European users of the system.

Additionally, they’ve installed Emergency Assistance in localised versions so that drivers and passengers can make emergency calls based in the language of the country they will be in. Models such as the Mondeo, S-Max, Galaxy, and Kuga SUV will come factory-fitted with Sync 3. Ford will be at MWC in Barcelona to show it off to the world.
