Ricoh has a new 204-degree view action camera

We've seen action camera's before, that have a wide angle view for a better look of what action sport you're doing. Well now, Ricoh has a new action camera that has an absurdly high 204-degree field of view, which is bigger than most action cameras on the market today.

The Ricoh WG-M2 is the updated model of the WG-M1, and it is 40 percent lighter and smaller than the previous model. It can also shoot video in 4K in 30 frames a second, and 1080p at 60 frames a second, as well as 720p at 120 frames a second. There is also an option to shoot 8-megapixel still images. Additionally, it has a drop resistant and freeze resistant body that doesn't need a case. It is also waterproof up to 65 feet (about 20 meters) and can resist frigid temperatures up to -10 degrees Celcius. There is also drop resistance that is measured at about seven feet. On the top of the device there is a 1.5-inch LCD display, which helps with framing shots. As mentioned above, the camera has a 204-degree wide-angle view, which is bigger than a GoPro, which has a 170-degree view. Ricoh does add the option to change to a more narrow field of view, which allows the camera to digitally stabilize the image better.

Ricoh's WG-M2 will go on sale sometime in April for $299, which isn't a bad deal for what you're getting.
