Google will watch you use their things inside a mini lab van

Silicon Valley’s Google is one of the biggest technology companies in the world, and they want to grow even bigger by learning how different people use Google products and services. They’ve now set up a little research lab in a van and assigned a team to drive it across the United States to find out how people like you work with Google’s tech.

The Associated Press reported that the van will be available in a range of cities during March and April, inviting people to pop in and test a few products and services that Google are developing. The team inside the van will observe people using apps on their Android smartphones, in an attempt to gain a better idea of how users utilise Google’s products and services.

Google’s van will stop in locations in New York, Chapel Hill, Clemson, Atlanta, Boulder, Salt Lake City, Reno, and South Lake Tahoe, as well as other areas that Google are trying to reach but have not confirmed yet.

So you’re interested in the tests? They’ll only cost the maximum of an hour and a half of your time, and in the end you’ll leave with one or two gift cards. Although it’s a strange way for a company like Google to have its user-testing strategy, the company has completed many other testing methods across the world, and now it looks like they’re experimenting new ways to strengthen the relationship with customers.
