Google's Fi mobile network no longer requires an invite

If you or someone you know has been interested in trying out Google's new Fi mobile network but didn't have the invite to try it, you're in luck as Google is letting everyone who lives in the United States try out the Fi Network, no invite required.

Google's Fi product manager said that "With Project Fi, we deliver fast wireless service with the flexibility to use it where you want (even internationally) and a monthly bill that's simple and easy to understand," he later went on to say "Today, we're excited to be exiting our invitation-only mode and opening up Project Fi so that people across the U.S. can now sign up for the service without having to wait in line for an invite."

To make up for Project Fi being available for everyone, Google has been discounting the Nexus 5X to $199, which is a good device to get started on for the service, which only works on Nexus smartphones. In case you forgot, Google's Fi network connects to both T-Mobile's and Sprint's networks, in which Fi switches between the two to deliver the customer the best coverage possible.
