Apple has just announced the newest iPhone to their range, the iPhone SE. It's a 4-inch smartphone that offers a smaller and cheaper option for users who prefer smaller phones over the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. The iPhone SE is a mix between the iPhone 5 and 6 generations, taking the design of the iPhone 5 but taking the internals of the iPhone 6s.

The phone packs the same 64-bit Apple A9 processor with the M9 motion co-processor, which means there will be no loss of power and it will perform just as great as the iPhone 6s. It also supports hands-free "Hey Siri" which means you'll be able to use Apple's voice assistant without touching the phone. The camera is also the same as the 6s with a 12-megapixel iSight camera with a dual-tone flash, capable of shooting Live Photos and 4K.

Comparing it to the iPhone 5s, it's it still has the 4-inch screen, but it has faster LTE, 50-percent faster WiFi, better battery life, new microphones and the ability to use Apple Pay. Since Apple sold over 30 million 4-inch iPhones in 2015, so Apple needed to address this market with a faster and better smartphone. "Many, many customers have asked for this, and I think they're going to love it," said Apple CEO, Tim Cook during today's launch event.

The device will start at $399 for the 16GB model and goes up to $499 for the 64GB model. It will ship out in four different colors, gold, rose gold and the classic silver and space gray options. It will be available for preorders on March 24 and will be available on March 31, and will launch in over 100 countries by the end of May.
