Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro with a fingerprint scanner costs just $140
On Tuesday, Xiaomi released another new device, the Redmi 3 Pro which is a follow-up to the recently released Redmi 3. The Redmi 3 has an all-metal design and only costs $100. With the Redmi 3 Pro, they added a fingerprint scanner and more powerful specs, but still keeping a very budget-friendly price tag.
The Redmi 3 Pro starts at just $140 (899 yuan), which is just $40 (699) more than the Redmi 3. It has 3GB of RAM instead of 2GB and a rear fingerprint scanner. It still has the metal design, but they have removed the textured back and gone with a smooth finish.
Other than that, nothing else has changed. It still has a 5-inch 720p display, a Snapdragon 616 processor, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, 4100mAh battery and expandable storage which is pretty good for the price.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro will launch on April 9 in China. It could also be available in India and other countries, but it most likely won't be the device that Xiaomi use to launch in the U.S.
