K88H Smartwatch preview [Sponsored]

Smartwatches are becoming a huge part of our daily lives and there are so many of them available for us to use. We've seen tech giants such as Apple and Samsung introduce new smartwatch devices, and there are also Chinese manufacturers introducing budget-end smartwatches regularly.

From the wide-range of these smartwatches, the K88H smartwatch is one of the latest and promising examples.

Not only does it have a pretty decent looking design, it also offers some great specs, too.

For starters, it boasts Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity which is excellent for getting it paired with your smartphone. It's efficient and easy to get the device paired with any iOS or Android smartphone - all you have to do is scan the QR code available on the smartwatch and then select your smartphone's operating system version and download the app. Take note that your smartwatch must be at least Android 4.4 or iOS 7.0 in order to be recognised.

Once you're done with connecting your smartphone to the smartwatch, you'll be able to complete basic tasks in more smarter methods, e.g. if you raise your hand, the smartwatch screen will turn on and enable you to view notifications or check the time.

One of the main reasons why people use smartwatches is to receive and view notifications instantly, and this smartwatch does the job. Whether there are notifications from apps such as Instagram or WhatsApp, or even your calendar, the smartwatch will be able to let you know what's up. You can also make or accept phone calls, messages, and sync your call log and contacts list with ease. A great feature that I would personally use daily would be the health tracker; it's divided into a heart rate monitor, pedometer, sedentary reminder, sleep monitor, and all-in-one health management system. Additionally, it's very interactive with your smartphone. The K88H smartwatch has the ability of acting as a camera remote, music controller, alarm, stopwatch, and as a bonus for iOS users, it has a Siri function. This is great for accessing and controlling everything via your wrist, instead of pulling out your smartphone to do everything manually. What's even greater is that the smartwatch has the ability to track and find your smartphone, just in case you misplace it or if it gets stolen.

The K88H's 64MB RAM is a bit disappointing in comparison to that of the Apple Watch (which consists of 512MB) but let's not forget that the K88H is based in the budget-end of the smartwatch market. It's got an IP54 rating which means that it is waterproof, and this is an essential feature for our daily lives as we do come in contact with water frequently.

With a 1.2-inch, 240x240 pixel IPS display, the screen isn't the best but it is what you would expect from a budget-end smartwatch. However, it isn't far away from the 360x360 pixel display in Samsung's Gear S2 territory. If we take a good look at the smartwatch's dial, we can identify that it's based on a round metal case that reminds me of Motorola's Moto 360 smartwatch. The 22mm band is available in stainless steel or leather - and it is totally up to you whether you would like to keep the material or replace it with an alternative.

Moving on to the battery specs, the K88H operates on polymer batteries with a capacity of 300mAh, which is very good if you take the fact that Samsung's latest smartwatch the Gear S2 also utilises 300mAh batteries.

Additionally, some people won't have any issues in regards to language as the K88H is able to operate in English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and even Spanish.

In conclusion, the K88H is a great example of a budget-end smartphone with the potential to help you excel in basic daily tasks. With a price tag of $53.99, not only does it have a decent and premium exterior, it also has some positive internal features that are great for the modern day.
