Google could soon come out with an Amazon Echo competitor

Amazon's Virtual-Assistant device called Echo has been a hit for the company, and it looks like Google could soon be coming out with a competitor to the Echo, according to a new report from The Information.

There is no clear definition on how the rumored device would work, but it could use Google's pre-existing voice searching technology such as Google Now, or something new altogether. It is also rumored that Google is working alone on the project, and not working along with Next, whom Google acquired earlier last year.

Speaking of Nest, they are supposedly the ones to blame for the absence, as there have been numerous reports of products delayed, most likely due to creative differences. One of the devices that has been delayed is Flinstone, which is an unannounced security hub. There is also Pinna, which would be the sensors for the Flintstone security hub. And finally, there is Project Goose, which would be new location-based temperature adjustment technology for their Thermostat.

As mentioned above, creative differences, as well as frequent design changes and organizational issues, are to blame for the delation of the rumored products. There is no word when or if these products would be announced, same with Google's Echo competitor. We will let you know if anything new develops soon.
