Tesla didn't expect one big thing about the Model 3

This day in age any type of announcement regarding a new product comes with a lot of anticipation and hype. Usually, this hype is makes the product seem like it’s ten times better than it really is, this was not the case for the Tesla Model 3.

There was a lot leading up to the Model 3 release on Thursday March 31st. Tesla an electric car company run by Elon Musk produces high quality fully electric cars; in which the company shows us that electric cars don’t need to be small, or have low range capability, or be low quality.

This is the company’s last part of Elon Musk’s “Secret Plan” which involved four cars, the Roadster, Model S, Model X, and now the Model 3. This is also the company’s first “Affordable” car, also showing us that electric cars don’t have to be really expensive. The Model 3 Is truly amazing, with rear and front trunks, and the roof being a single panel of glass. For more information on the Specs of this car, please see our article written by Samuel Darlynton.

With all these high quality features at an affordable price starting at $35,000 dollars, the demand for a Model 3 is amazing! As of Saturday, April 2nd, there were 252,000 preorders around the world. A follower of Elon Musk on twitter asked “What did you expect the orders to be before the release?” Musk responded saying “Maybe ¼ or ½ of what happened. No one at Tesla thought it would be this high before part 2 of the unveil.”

The Model 3 is a very successful car for Tesla, but will they be able to keep up with this enormous demand? That will be the most important question when they start shipping.
