Thanks to two new FCC filings, we can now expect Microsoft to update the Xbox One’s design and/or specs. NeoGAF user ekim noticed the filings which indicate potential hardware for Microsoft’s Xbox One.
The two FCC filings operate under the models 1682 and 1693, and have been documented by Microsoft. Coincidentally, the model numbers match the model number of the wireless communications chip inside the Xbox One system. Furthermore, the expiration dates of the filings are due by mid-summer 2016 – and this could be possible because of the fact that the E3 event begins on June 14 and Microsoft may have something in store for us.
All in all, the updates could be based on hardware or accessories, or even a face-lift of the games console which would be great to see - although the current design is actually sublime.
