Acer launches a premium Chromebook with a budget price
Chromebooks are starting to evolve from the cheap, plasticky models that we have seen when they were first introduced to something more premium. And that continues with Acer's newest Chromebook, the Chromebook 14.
The Chromebook 14 has a 100-percent aluminum chassis, which is being powered by an Intel Celeron processor, the dual-core N3060 Braswell, which improves power and efficiency than previous processors.
Other specifications include a 1080p display, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a 14-hour battery life, according to Acer. Additionally, there is two USB 3.1 ports, one HDMI port, Bluetooth 4.2, 802.11ac WiFi, stereo speakers and a 720p webcam.
The Chromebook 14 is up on Amazon for pre-order, and it will cost $299.99 for the "premium" model, which is the one listed above. There is no word on a non-premium model. Acer claims that the premium model will arrive at regular retailers such as Best Buy sometime in April.
