Nubia is one of the companies in Asia that seems to be keeping the smartphone production going. The smartphone brand is a subsidiary of ZTE and seems to be quite popular especially in China. The company took to the stage a few hours ago to announce the Z11 Mini, a mid-range smartphone promising some of the most sought after features by the market.
For starters, the dual SIM Nubia mini has a 5 inch HD screen which seems to be the “small” or normal size screen for smartphones lately. The Snapdragon 617 seems to be a good compromise for the price tag and with a 2800mAh battery, the device may be able to hold on for long. Inside the Z11 mini is 64GB of storage, 3GB of RAM with a custom version of Android 5.1 running on top. It also comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner on its rear, quite similar in look and positioning to the Nexus 6p and 5x.

Perhaps the most pleasant news about the release is the Sony IMX298 sensor loaded in the 16-megapixel rear camera; the front camera also seems to impress at 8 megapixels (f/2.4) with dedicated flash. The company claims the phone ‘is bringing professional photography to mobile’. The device is available for pre-order on the company’s website for $230 and is likely not to be released in the US markets. What do you think of the new Nubia?
