Bang and Olufsen announces the BeoPlay speaker

Bluetooth speakers have been rising all of a sudden again and the one problem that I have experienced while using them is the battery life, the batteries always seem to die at the wrong time, but now Bang and Olufsen might have just created the perfect Bluetooth speaker if you have that same problem.

Bang and Olufsen is a posh danish company which is well known for their very premium audio gear. They have just released their new BeoPlay A1 which is reported to have 24 hours of battery life, a built-in microphone which is always useful and on top of that, the speaker is so small that you can easily pack it away in your backpack.

The device has an aluminium cover, this is quite normal as B&O uses a lot of aluminium on their products. The speaker also has a leather band to strap onto a peg or a hook. The speaker is charged using USB-C and has two volume rockers. There is an orange and green LED to indicate Bluetooth connection, charging and battery percentage.

The Beoplay A1 goes for $249 (199 P or ..... euros), in my opinion, this is pretty expensive, for that price you can buy 10 other Bluetooth speakers which might not look as good but will definitely do the job.
