The world’s largest fast food industry giant seems to be putting technology at the fore front in its new “Experience of the Future programme” for customers. McDonalds has teamed up with SOTI, an Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) company that provides applications, devices and security for businesses in over 170 countries worldwide to bring a new experience to customers. SOTI is to install and customise applications for Samsung Galaxy tablets installed in select McDonald’s branches in the UK.

"Technology has an important role to play in all walks of life, including our customers' eating out experience, so the changes we're making as part of the 'Experience of the Future' programme bring us closer to the way people live their lives today. We pride ourselves on listening to customers and providing an outstanding experience; innovations such as tablets help provide this experience and have been extremely popular with customers" the Managing Director of SOTI said.

Now customers can play games, browse the web and engage in other interesting activities while enjoying their meals. The “Experience of the Future” programme promises to be one of the biggest improvements in the company in such a long time. As to why Samsung’s devices were chosen remains a mystery and seems to be entirely the choice of the company involved but initial feedback of the programme seems to be positive and hopefully, it would expand to other parts of the world.
