Snapchat's latest update allows you to face swap with your gallery

Social media app Snapchat's "face swap" feature is become greatly popular (and weird) that it is becoming pretty much an Internet sensation for people across the world. It’s very well-known for empowering users to swap faces with someone or something else in real time. Thanks to a recent update for both the Android and iOS app, it levels-up the feature to now have the ability of allowing Snapchat users to “face swap” selfies with images stored on their phone's gallery.

Once you've downloaded the Snapchat update version 9.29.0.0, you’ll be able to view the new filter feature on the lens row. To access the new feature is very simple for Snapchat users; all you have to do is tap and hold on your face when the camera is on selfie mode. After you select the filter, there will be a little bar consisting of a row of images from your gallery. Snapchat is smart enough to revise through your gallery to collect images with faces in them only.

I personally found the new feature being a bit laggy at first, but after a few hilarious (but horrific) selfies, it became more comfortable and a decent new update to Snapchat’s variety of creative filters. It’ll be great to see what they've got in store for the future as they expand their app’s ability and user base. Have you tried it out yet?
