Look at this Apple Watch running Windows 95
Want to run Windows 95 on your Apple Watch? You'll first have to wait one whole hour for it to start up. Nick Lee, a developer, recently uploaded a video to YouTube displaying what the smartwatch looks like once Windows 95 is booted up and functioning. Although it's really slow, it has a variety of utilities for a user.
Lee highlighted in a blog that the smartwatch's specs are obviously much more better than an average Windows 95 PC. And thanks to those powerful internal elements, the Apple Watch has the ability to run on Microsoft's Windows 95 operating system. However, there are some obstacles to pass before you can enjoy this unique combination.
In order for you to get Windows 95 topped on the Apple Watch, you'll have to modify Apple's development software in "rather unorthodox ways," just like Lee did. By doing those things, Lee managed to transform the operating system into an app for the smartwatch to utilise.
A funny issue that Lee had to fight was the Apple Watch's screen - the smartwatch's display always turns off once it is on stand-by. Fortunately, Lee produced a little motorised tube that continuously turns the Watch's dial, which consequently stopped the smartwatch from turning off.
At the end of the day, the final product was very slow but incredible. Lee also said that he tweaked the software in the Apple Watch to empower Windows 95 with the ability to recognise a single fingertip, as a result it allowed the mouse to move when the screen is tapped.
It's surprising but very entertaining that developers are experimenting and succeeding in taking old technology and transforming them on different platforms, and it will be greatly exciting to see what the future holds.
