Delta eliminates losing your luggage

Ever lost your luggage? Well, then it's time to fly Delta!

Delta Airlines is one of the largest airlines in the world, and now their customers will be even more happy with the airline due to their new RFID bag tags. These tags will constantly send radio signals out into the air.

While your bags are being loaded onto the plane they usually travel up an electronic conveyor belt and get placed inside the plane. The difference with the new radio frequency identification (RFID) is that while they are on that conveyor belt, a sensor will sense if that bag should be boarding that flight based on its tag.

Delta says that current baggage has a 95% chance of making it to the correct destination.

They are hoping that they will reach 99.9% percent with RFID. If you need to locate someones specific luggage quickly, that's also easy to do with RFID, because everyone has a unique tag and radio signal.

This system will be rolled out in 344 airports by the end of this coming august, and it doesn't look like Delta will be the only one using this technology in the future. What do you think about this technology? Will it work, or have too many errors? Let us know what you believe in the comments below.
