Opera now has in-app ad blocking

Ad blocking has become big over the last couple of years, and although you could add a third party service that could block your ads for you, these services could usually have many cons. These cons include RAM consumption and a lot of messing around during the installation. But now Opera has added native ad blocking to their app and desktop browser.

Not only has Opera released ad blocking, they have also released a tool in which you can compare the loading time of a website with ads and the same one without ads. This is an interesting developers tool. Using this function Opera has proven that surfing the web without ads is up to 63% faster.

Personally, I think that this isn't that big of a step forward as the third-party services aren't that bad. Although it's not a bad new feature it doesn't add a lot to the app.

But what do you think? Do you use Opera? and if you do, do you enjoy this new feature? Let us know in the comments down below and connect with us on social media! Source: | The Verge | - Image credits: | Opera | and | The Stack |
