Apple is attempting to fix their podcasts

Podcasts, a form of audio broadcasted on the internet, became very popular a while ago and are still very popular. Apple offers thousands of easy to download, free podcasts, but people want change.

Lots of petty complaints like, "the video won't go full screen for my video podcast." Or, "My podcast won't download." This can be easy update fixes, but some people have some real problems with Apple's podcasts. So, Apple did something unusual to their companies ways, they invited some of the largest podcasters (7 to be exact) to join them for a meeting at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino. Here they would sort out some of these issues.

The problems weren't only for the viewers, the podcasters had issues with the system as well. As said before, there are thousands of podcasts on the iTunes store, and it's very hard to sort them out and promote everyone. This issue could be resolved with a cleaner iTunes or moving the podcasts out of the iTunes store, but Apple hasn't promised anything yet. Some podcasters want to charge their viewers for their content, Apple also doesn't allow this at the moment. Podcasters also want the data. They want to know how many viewers they are getting, on what videos and how long people stay to watch. This data would be very useful to the companies to create better content.

Apple isn't the only company that offers podcasts anymore, Google and Spotify do as well. If Apple doesn't step up their game they could be in trouble as far as the podcast world goes. Do you think Apple will make changes? Let us know in the comments below.
