New leaks on the Moto X give lots of information

When some of us think of the company Motorola, we think of our first cell phones that were big and bulky - we are thinking of the old Motorola. Motorola was purchased by Google in 2012 and since then the new "Moto" phones have been top competitors up there with the Samsung Galaxy line and the iPhone. Motorola was recently acquired by Lenovo and it looks like a redesign will come with it.

The recent leaks show that the back of the phone will be a flat metal panel instead of the curved plastic or wood that was on the latest devices. Also missing from the back is a small depression that makes your finger comfortable while holding the device. It helps especially when the phone is on the larger size.

Towards the bottom of the phone, there are 16 electrical contacts that remind me of Apple's new Smart Connector on the new iPad Pro, but much more connectors. These connectors could be used more similar to what LG is doing with their attachment accessories called "amps". ExtreameTech says, "there will be six different attachments for the new Moto X". These accessories will include, a mini-projector, optical zoom camera, stereo speakers, and wide angle camera lens/case all in one, and a battery pack. The device will come with one "amp" a stylish, slim, regular case.

According to ExtreameTech, "there will be two Moto X phones this year." These phones include the Moto X Vector Thin, which will be the 5.5 inch 1440p AMOLED flagship with 4 GB or ram. The second phone will be the Moto X Vertex, which will have a 5.5 1080p AMEOLED with only 3 GB of ram. Because the Vector Thin is so Thin, it 2600 mAh battery, which is a 400 mAh lower than the current Moto X, but the Moto X Vertex will have a 3500 mAh battery, and you can add battery capacity with one of the Amps to the Vertex to extend battery life.

So, what do you think of the new Moto X? Did they lower battery capacity just so we will buy the adapter amp? We will find out lots more on June 9th at Lenovo's TechWorld event. Keep your eyes on our website as we bring you more.
