Open up the new Instagram

Social networking app Instagram's well-known, classic icon is (finally) being replaced with a revamped one. Just today, Instagram announced that they will be launching a brand-new colourful and vibrant icon for the app. Not only this, the company have cooked up matching icons for its additional apps such as Hyperlapse and Layout. This is clearly a move for the business to update and customise their branding.
The main app will also be boasting a new and modern material design. This time it will be utilising a minimalistic black-and-white which many people had a sneak-peak to last week.
Instagram believe that the new appearance will put "more focus on your photos and videos," although everything else seems to be pretty much the same. But let's not forget that this new update's intention is to ensure that your posts on the app are more eye-catching and act as the colour that builds Instagram. Instagram users on iOS can enjoy the update right now, Android devices will also be receiving the update later today.
